June 2014. THEME: Gardens. I took a shoe box and decorated it and then we did this rhyme: "There's something in my garden that I can't really see. There's something in my garden and it's hiding from me! Hear it's funny sound: (make sound of animal or insect). A ____ is what I found!" You can use any number of garden creatures. In addition to the bird, bee and frog, I did a rabbit, butterfly, mouse, and firefly (I changed the rhyme a bit for this one).

The Twilight Zone comes to the carrot patch in this clever picture book parable about a rabbit who fears his favorite treats are out to get him. Jasper Rabbit loves carrots—especially Crackenhopper Field carrots. He eats them on the way to school. He eats them going to Little League. He eats them walking home. Until the day the carrots start following him...or are they?

What animal has a fluffy little tail that looks like this? What animal has big floppy ears like this?" Then out came the rabbit!
