I love how the water in this image is so flat. With the single ripple from the finger on the flat water really draws your eyes to that point.

There can be many interpretations from this picture, however I think that the couple here are giving each other strength and love. In the Taming of the Shrew Kate and Petruchio challenge the societal norms in Shakespeare's days, as Shakespeare suggests that when a couple works together as equals, rather than in a hierarchy, they will be stronger in the long run.
