Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880) was a German-born French composer, cellist and impresario of the romantic period. He is remembered for his nearly 100 operettas of the 1850s–1870s and his uncompleted opera The Tales of Hoffmann.

Violin has always been an important part of my life. I played since I was nine and always enjoyed the music, so beautiful. Life got in the way and I put it aside long ago, but my daughter plays and has accomplished 1st chair. My son asked to play in the suzuki style class they are starting at school. It makes me smile that the love of music is staying alive.
