Before the Internet and Google was the "Whole Earth Catalog". Published from 1968 to 1972 by Stewart Brand, this amazing book listed everything deemed "useful as a tool, relevant to independent education, of high quality and/or low cost, and easily available by mail". It was a work of art in itself and considered a "bible" of inspiration by folks like Steve Jobs.

Voyager (Outlander) 1st (first) edition by Diana Gabaldon. The book that changed everything for me. The only one in the series I have read twice. All my favourite scenes, moments and quotes are in this novel. I love this book, from the subdued, quiet desperation of the beginning to the blinding, tropical light of the epilogue. By the end of "Voyager" the Hero has come full circle.
