Northern Living Photograph March 4, 2016 Today we went up to the Mackinac Bridge to photograph the ice in the straits and to have lunch in Cheboygan. It's a nice day trip for us. The ice is so very cool... no pun intended, lol. When you walk out onto the frozen water, the ice is crystal clear and you can see down to the bottom. We walked out about 20 feet, heading towards the large piles of ice, but we heard the ice crack underfoot and decided it was time to head back to the shore.
