Chocolate buttermilk cake. Bakes up nice and moist, fine densely packed moist crumb. Moist when cold too. Use sunflower oil! Added 2 oz chocolate per layer and it was too unstable. Used half dark and half regular cocoa powder. Consider adding more cocoa.
Baked pears with cinnamon, honey and walnuts – it doesn't get simpler that this! These were a favourite at my last dinner party. Soooo good! I turned the oven off but kept them in while we ate then served for dessert. Add a drop of whipped cream on top.
