Lello Bookstore: The Most Beautiful Bookstore in the World - via Book Riot 26.08.2013 | Little did I know that when I went looking for the oldest bookstore in the world, I would find, just up the coast of the same country, what could very well be the most beautiful bookstore in the world. The Lello Bookstore was built in 1906 in Porto, Portugal by The Lello Brothers (Antonio and Jose) who formerly owned another bookstore a few streets away.
El Pendulo Mexico, The bookstore El Péndulo started off as a combination coffee shop and bookstore in 1992—today, with six branches in total, it is one of the most important cultural centers in Latin America. It even has a bar (yes, a bar) inside named after Bukowski. Photo by @danielae
