Betty Brosmer.. the highest paid pin-up girl of the 1950s, considered by many as the first true supermodel. Her waist measured 18 inches, her bust 38 inches and hips 36 inches. It’s speculated she achieved her tiny waist with corset training, also known as waist training, waist reduction or tightlacing, for moulding a pronounced and significantly smaller waist, altering the shape of the ribcage in extreme cases and moving internal organs out of their original positions.
"She blew a kiss, it missed my face, and drifted into outer space and kissed the sun, and made it smile, now it's been bright for quite a while" A poem from my book Make Magic Do Good painted (not by me) on the back of @delaney_mcneill . It's hot as can be this weekend, apologies for blowing that kiss and stirring up the sun. Best of luck finding some shade and some friends to paint on!
