HRH The Duchess of Gloucester (neé Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott) wearing the tiara,earrings, the two necklaces and two of the three brooches from the turquoise and diamond parure she received as a wedding gift from her mother-in-law Queen Mary. The parure is now worn by the current Duchess of Gloucester (Birgitte).
The Burmese Ruby Tiara The Queen ordered the Burmese Ruby Tiara in 1973 from Garrard & Co. The tiara is in the form of a wreath of red roses. The center of each flower is made up of rubies and gold, while diamonds and silver form the petals.
