The Most Eminent Order of the Indian Empire, companion, 1st issue, circa 1878-1886. This Order, which was an order of chivalry founded by Queen Victoria in 1878 is comprised of the Knight Grand Commander, Knight Commander, and Companion classes. No appointments have been made since 1947, the year of the Partition of India. With the death of the last surviving knight, the Maharaja of Dhrangadhra, the order became dormant in 2010.
French Napoleonic Saint Helena Medal with original ribbon. The front of the medal read "Napoleon I Empereur" (The Emperor Napoleon) with Napoleon bust. Reverse reads "Campagnes de 1792 a 1815, A ses compagnons de glores sa derniere pensee 8th helene 5 mai 1821" (The 1792-1815 Campaigns, To his fellow glories his last thoughts 8th Helen May 5, 1821). In 1857 Napoleon Bonaparte honored all still living combatants who fought for France in the period of 1792-1815.
