This piece is so clearly associated with Diana since she is the only royal to have worn it as a necklace. The sapphire surrounded by diamonds was a gift from the Queen Mother on the occasion of Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles. This photo from 1958 shows the Queen Mother wearing what appears to be the brooch and the photo on the right is of Diana wearing it in 1982.

Glowing Moment?: This Art-deco emerald and diamond choker was a wedding gift to Diana from the Queen. Diana wore this on many occasions including to a banquet held by the King of Malaysia in November 1993. The most famous wearing of this piece was in October 1985 in Australia when Diana it as a headband. It remains one of the most admired and adored pieces of jewelry of all time. It is now part of a special exhibit.
