I hope you enjoy these talking prompt posters to use during your Math Number Talks. They would be great to hang for the beginning of the year in order to give students a visual reminder. This is a set of reading decoding strategy posters to help young reader's decode unfamiliar words. They are ink friendly and would make a great display for your classroom or you can print them smaller (4 to a page) and place on a ring to use in your guided reading groups. I've also included a reading strategy book mark to give to your students.
At the beginning of the school year I ask parents to send in 10 food labels. I then sorted them by alphabetical order and placed them in a sheet protector (so I can add more later) as they came in! These are on the back of my classroom door. This is a great place for my students to look for words during READ THE ROOM CENTER!
These 8 Figurative Language Posters are a great way for you to introduce different types of figurative language and can also be displayed in the classroom and used as a reference for your students. There is a poster for each type of figurative language including similes, idioms, metaphors, hyperbole, alliterations, personifications, and onomatopoeia, as well as a title poster that says Figurative Language. Also included in my Figurative Language Unit for 4th/5th grades! (TpT Resource)
