Xavier Dining Chair

Tatham & Bailey Chair 1813. Gilt wood, silk damask. A set of eighty-eight dining-chairs, each with a gently curved back and uprights, the top rail with stylised flowers and husks above a double bar splat joined by two rosettes; sabre legs. Variously covered in red, green or blue foliate silk damask. Ball Supper Room, Buckingham Palace.

A very large 18th century style mahogany broad arm windsor chair. The windsor chair has a tall back with a scroll shape to the top rail, a broad splat with shaped mahogany spindles and a shaped seat. The chair has cabriole Queen Ann legs to the front and similar kick out legs to the rear. The chair is made from very good quality mahogany and is in excellent original condition made at the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries
