At Gloucester on 14th July 1985, Class 47 47613 'North Star' runs back to Horton Road MPD for fuel. New from Crewe Works as D1661 in Feb 65 and first allocated to Landore , the loco was named at London Paddington on 20th March of that year. It became No. 47077 in Feb 74 and No. 47613 in May 84. Becoming No. 47840 in Nov 89, it was withdrawn in May 2007, and preserved by the Diesel & Electric Preservation Group. The loco is currently in service on the West Somerset Railway. (Derek Jones)
