Game for artic words: write a different word on each of several blank cards. Place the cards in a basket and ask students to sit in a circle. Have them pass the basket around the circle while you play a recording of music. After a few moments, stop the music. Instruct the student with the basket to take a card and read the word aloud and use the word in a sentence.
Adding Lilypond Game: Set out two plastic jumping frogs or green beanbags to represent frogs. Toss onto lilypads, add two numbers together. If thrown out of the pond, the number to add is zero. If thrown in the water, it is one. (If the "frogs" land in the water, the addition problem is 1+1)
