Two styles of tea cosies knit in chunky yarn for extra thickness and insulation. The pattern uses charts for block colour knitting (intarsia) for the windows and doors. I have given a link to an excellent tutorial for anyone new to this. The front and back walls are worked separately then the roof is knit in one piece across the top of both walls. A hem is made for the roof fascia and I have given full instructions with photos, and an alternative method for this.

This Pieces of Eight Mitts are more like a work of art. The pattern and tutorial is by Knitting and so on. Even if you don't knit it's beautiful to look at.

Rapunzel Tea Cosy

Interesting set-up for socks. You do the top of the foot first, then a short row toe, and finally you work the bottom of the sock in stockinette picking up stitches along the edges. Hoffnungangestrickt by steffilinden, via Flickr.
