Artist David T. Waller used 2,500 old toy cars to create Toy Atlas Rainbow, a beautiful installation that won the People’s Award at the Arts Depot Open in 2010. The cars in the installation are arranged in a circular pattern according to their color, making a beautiful rainbow out of Hot Wheels cars. (j)
Colors are key! Each color can be expressed by its shade! For example the color yellow, a bright color yellow could be worn for a fun summer/spring outfit! Where as a darker more mustard yellow is a perfect autumn shade!
Glass wall panel installation by UK based artist Chris Wood. She says that her work is about expressing the “magic of light”. Um… nailed it! She uses dichroic glass, and in case you’ve never heard of dichroic glass, (meaning two colour). Developed in the late fifties by NASA to protect against the potentially harmful effects of direct sunlight and cosmic radiation. It is a material that very eloquently expresses the magic of the phenomenon of light.”
