SCRUB What: Oatmeal facial cleanse. How: Place 2 tbps. of oatmeal in a bowl. Add warm water until the mixture is paste-y. Rub onto the skin using circular motions (be careful around the eyes!). Leave the mixture on your face for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. End the session with a splash of cold water, then pat your skin dry with a towel.
WASH What: Gentle honey wash. How: Mix a dollop of honey + 2 tbps. warm water in the palm of your hand. Gentle massage the mixture into your skin. Why: Honey has long been valued in Asia for its natural medicinal properties. Combined with rice bran, honey is used there to treat diaper rash and even acne. Honey is also an excellent treatment for dry skin as it stimulates good circulation and helps to seal in moisture.
A few times a week I pour about 1-2 tablespoons of sugar into one hand. Then pour about the same amount of Olive Oil into my hand. Then over my kitchen sink I rub the mixture in between my palms to combine and then spread it all over my hands. home made facial mask. Super easy and cheap w supplies already had at home. Made my dry and sensitive skin soft and clear. Exfoliated gently. Cleared my skin. Next time I will use less water and less honey to make a more concentrated scrub. A little drippy on the face. But a keeper. Recommended.
