SCRUB What: Oatmeal facial cleanse. How: Place 2 tbps. of oatmeal in a bowl. Add warm water until the mixture is paste-y. Rub onto the skin using circular motions (be careful around the eyes!). Leave the mixture on your face for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. End the session with a splash of cold water, then pat your skin dry with a towel.
MASK What: Avocado+Egg Facial Mask How: Mash a single avocado with one (1) egg yolk. Apply to the face and leave on skin for 10 minutes. Thoroughly wash off mixture and pat face dry. Why: Avacados are actually oversized berries that are chock-full of great stuff for your skin, including: vitamins A,E, B and K as well as iron, potassium magnesium and other healing minerals. A little guacamole on your face penetrates deep beneath the surface to help restore elasticity to dry skin.
Banana Oatmeal Mask Mash one banana and 1/2 cup of warm oatmeal together, and add 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey. Let the mixture cool for ten minutes, then apply to your face. Leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse well with warm water and a washcloth. Banana naturally rejuvenates skin, oatmeal will leave your face feeling soft and smooth, and honey helps to dry out blemishes and acne.
WASH What: Gentle honey wash. How: Mix a dollop of honey + 2 tbps. warm water in the palm of your hand. Gentle massage the mixture into your skin. Why: Honey has long been valued in Asia for its natural medicinal properties. Combined with rice bran, honey is used there to treat diaper rash and even acne. Honey is also an excellent treatment for dry skin as it stimulates good circulation and helps to seal in moisture.
-What you need: cotton balls, probiotic capsule, & cold, plain Greek yogurt. -Make it: Simply split open the probiotic capsule and mix it into 3 or 4 tablespoons of Greek yogurt in a small bowl or dish. Using a cotton ball, apply the mixture to your face in an even layer. Let the mask set for 10 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.
