The Pumpkin Palace started out as a nightclub in 1927. The Pumpkin survived a fire on opening night and changed hands many times. At one point it was a beer garden and a café. It operated as the Valley Gospel Center from 1935 to at least 1938. In the 1950's it was turned into the Pumpkin Inn and then into a real estate office. Later it became a hardware store. The Pumpkin Palace was located at 3611 Magnolia in Burbank's Magnolia Park business district.
Part of an ongoing development program to connect the city’s neighborhoods with trails and green spaces along 22 miles of historic train tracks, the Beltline also feeds the city’s art scene with public art projects.
