Public Market Seattle---Little surreal. I actually spent today walking Pike Place Market. Thought about walking around biting my lip and riding in elevators looking for CEO Christian Grey....but I thought my husband would probably have me committed. LOL! ;) - Steph B.

Puget Sound Hikes (We've done the Dosewallips Steam Donkey Loop Trail [one of our favorites for variety on the trail] and Penrose Point State Park [the view of Mt. Rainier is phenomenal on a clear day, and though we didn't see any sea stars, we DID see hundreds of live sand dollars!] from the list in this article. Pictures from both places are in my Washington album on FB.

Steve Van Slyke This is a Frilled Dogwinkle, Nucella lamellosa. When we lived on Puget Sound in Washington State there was one island where we could always find these. It is hard to find a good specimen like this one because they live on rocky beaches and get rolled around in the surf. They're a member of the Murex family. The frills reminded us of petticoats.
