Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about global warming.  It's hard to think about what I can do in my daily life to effect such a huge problem.  Best thing to do: PLANT A TREE  "A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime."    If there is an empty space in your yard...plant a tree! The largest ever algal bloom is set to cover an area in the Gulf of Mexico that will be the size of New Jersey, this summer. This is according to a forecast that was released this week, and an algal bloom of that size will create a record breaking dead zone that could have an effect on the waters that surround the Gulf of Mexico. #scienceclub
