Wallachian prince Michael the Brave, during a campaign against the Turks in the autumn of 1594. He conquered citadels of Giurgiu, Brăila, Hârşova, and Silistra, while his Moldavian allies defeated the Turks in Iaşi and other parts of Moldavia. Mihai continued his attacks deep within the Ottoman Empire, taking the forts of Nicopolis, Ribnic, and Chilia and even reaching as far as Adrianople. At one point his forces were only 24 km from Constantinople, the capital of the Ottoman Empire!
Chang'e or Chang-o, originally know as Heng'e, is the Chinese goddess of the Moon. She s the subject of several legends in Chinese mythology, most of which incorporate several of the following elements. Houyi the archer, an elixir of life, a benevolent or malevolent emperor, and of course, the Moon.
