Knowing and speaking the truth about who you are is always beautiful. If those around you cannot see that beauty then you will know that in their current state they cannot fully love you, you will know the limitations of that relationship. But also know that each individual relationship is different and unique and by having this knowledge you open yourself to new relationships. Relationships where the beauty of your truth is recognized and appreciated. Trust in honesty.
Relationships (of any kind - friends, family, lovers) that are based on anything less than honesty are nothing more than superficial exchanges. Things that have been shackled, and denied the light that truth brings, will never grow or expand. As difficult as it might be to accept, someone who lies to you does not respect you. Someone who does not respect you can't really be your friend. As disappointed as you may feel, there is immense value in accepting this.
