YES, yes, yes! Seriously, there are plenty of fictional characters I sympathize with, and just as many I can identify with. But I have never run across a character that I understood on such a fundamental level as Sherlock. Our actions may play out differently, but our thought processes are identical.
Sherlock. Just to clarify a psychopath and sociopath are the same thing (the titles were used at different times in psychology) both are "high functioning" as they tend to assimilate in society well enough to fool most people but neither are descriptors of Sherlock as he does have emotional depth and concern for others despite his lack of relationships.
