Southern Grits Casserole -whether you are from the south or not - this breakfast casserole is a crowd favorite and always requested over and over again at my house! I add a can (or two) of chopped green chile's for extra flavor (but no heat). If I want to kick it up a notch on the heat level I will add about 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper. (I do not scramble the eggs, rather fold them in to the grits)
Paula Deen's Baked Garlic Cheese Grits - I am not a fan of PD's recipes normally, but I have made these more times than I can count and they are really good. Use the best quality cheese you can afford, and make sure one is SHARP cheddar, it does make a difference. It makes a HUGE 9x13 pan full, so I usually cut the recipe in 1/2 unless taking to an event.
