The second half of this quote is almost always misattributed to Galileo, who did *not* say it. I wanted to do a page for the real author, and to include the previous stanza, which I think is absolutely beautiful. Micron pen, Prismacolor. 2014, Dianne Sylvan.
This has been floating around Pinterest and Facebook and not properly linked. I love the art and the sentiment but hate it when other people's beautiful work is posted without proper attribution. Here's the original artist who created this beautiful work http://victoriasartvisions.blogspot.ca/2013/02/draw-more-lines.html
trees painted on a book page...actually the tree is unpainted, and the "negative space" is what gets colored. Like this very much. OR could carefully cut out negative space on a page or two, making the tree really seem to stand out more.
I absolutely LOVE this art journal'er!! So keeping this, printing some faves to hang in my art space to inspire me. Simple, not quick but a lovely process that she makes sound so satisfying. Love her down to earth style of blog writing and journaling too! Wow!
