Swedish Gustavian mirror made around year 1800. Gilt and whitepainted wooden frame with a mirrorglass divided in two parts. This was the traditional way of constructing mirrors throughout the 18th and early 19th century. The top and the bottom of the mirror have eglomisé gouaches depicting griffins.
