Dads feel feverish foreheads, dose out medicine and worry over middle-of-the-night coughing fits. They hand out hugs and kisses and naptime snuggles (especially naptime snuggles) with abandon. Dads cart kids to practices, chaperone field trips, and volunteer for classroom parties. Dads button shirts, snap pants and tie shoes (and not just their own.) Dads can be providers, but they are also nurturers and teachers.
