Fourth graders focused on gesture drawing and discovered how fast the drawings are and they look like scribble drawings. Students practiced with gesture drawing challenges by taking turns modeling and sketching drawings of a partner. They read the book Sandy’s Circus and learned about Calder's wire figures. Finally students used scraps of telephone wire to make the sculptures you see here. They glued them to the base in an action pose.
