Hobbit hills in Matamata, North Island. I am not a big Lord of the Rings fan, have only seen half of one movie, and have never made the effort to see any of the movie sites like this one. But I grew up going in and out of Matamata for pony shows and it's a gorgeous wee country town which has done so well with all the tourism the movies has brought to it
