Kristin Rossum worked as a toxicologist at the San Diego County medical examiner's office. On November 6, 2000, just after 9:15 P.M., she called 911. Paramedics arrived and found her husband on the couple's bed unresponsive, who died from a lethal dose of fentanyl she had stolen from the medical examiner's office. She was having an affair he had found out about and also discovered she relapsed into using meth again. Sentenced to life in prison without parole on December 12, 2002.
