Peas, Ham, and Creamy Noodles - Mom did this but we used cream of mushroom instead of half and half and used broccoli instead of peas (you have to use what you have on hand, right?). I also added some cheddar on top. A great recipe for leftover ham!
The Three Minute Apple Cobbler - Your little ones are going to LOVE it! Cover bottom of a bowl with Vanilla Wafers. Pour apple sauce over wafers spreading to cover them all. Pop it in the microwave for 15 seconds. Add some Reddi-Wip & Voila ~ you're done! So easy a kid could make it!
Edible Insects, or a springboard for ideas of elaborating on the classic ants on a log. At my last bookgroup meeting, one woman made red ants on a log: red pepper pieces on cream cheese on celery. The book was "The Mapmaker's Wife." FYI, our group brings food mentioned in the book to the potluck.
Your kids can pretend fishing at snack time. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=618109794885779=pb.565415993488493.-2207520000.1366230609.=3=https%3A%2F%2Fsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net%2Fhphotos-ash3%2F544600_618109794885779_509974569_n.jpg=484%2C364
