Africa |   Sights and Sounds.  Each Dogan village has its toguna, a house without walls but with 8 layers of millet straw.  The roof usually rather low, usually just high enough to feel comfortable when sitting.  This building is used by the village chief to resolve issues and it is said that the low roof  is intentional as it prevents individuals from getting over excited and making grand gestures.
