Comic Book Writing is a fun and creative way to teach your students the writing process! Kids love comics and this product will allow them to show their writing skills in a fun way. This is a great addition to a superhero unit! They will begin with brainstorming and then go on to writing drafts for the comic book.
bigbigtruck: chipperwhale: Some things I’ve taught myself through out the years. I have not gone to college for art or comics, these are things I’ve learned by just trying to make comics by myself. I’ve also learned this stuff on the fly, through reading and doing. Regarding that last one: you can also use other elements to guide the reader’s eye through the page - shapes of objects, perspective on elements that “zoom” from top to bottom or right to left, etc.
GOING VIRAL: A boy & His 3-legged Dog ~ I know this has been around the Universe & back by now, but @ this time of year a lot of kids without families are thinking along these same terms. If you can volunteer or donate to a charity in your area that helps foster kids who did not get to know the joy of being adopted, please consider helping them as they transition into adult life. They are often alone and without resources as they age out of the foster care system.
