12 Years a Slave is an excellent movie the represents what slaves went through in the United States. It does an excellent job of showing how slaves weren't able to live their lives the way they wanted to because of their slavery.
12 Years A Slave: Extremely moving and powerful film and incredibly difficult to watch and at times comprehend and accept the enormity of what had happened to Solomon Northup and so many others. That is how powerful and important this film was; you felt in the most human way possible.
