San Antonio Fire Department EMS (from the 10970s)

A Chevy with a 12" raised roof and the Ford van were the first 2 rigs I worked in that was run by a funeral home ambulance service. Before I was a medic and even an EMT. Advanced first aid and a couple of civil defense courses on deliveries was all that was required. Those were some scary times and I think we were lucky to save any lives but the old adage, just transport and you can't go wrong.
