The place is called Stone Forest or Shilin. These rocks are a set of limestone formations located in Yunnan Province, China. The tall rocks are formed in such a way that it seems as if huge stalagmites have emerged from the ground, with many looking like petrified trees thereby creating the illusion of a forest made of stone. Since 2007, it has been under UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The site is classified as an AAAAA-class tourist site. (Pic by flickr user maveric2003)
