'THE SHELL SEEKERS' (2014) | 'Little Fistral in Newquay beach was closed and made into a film set on Wednesday. A crew from German FFP New Media reserved the beach to film an adaptation of Cornish author Rosamunde Pilcher's 1987 novel "The Shell Seeker", to be aired on German TV. Production co-ordinator Veronika Kruse said Little Fistral represented the perfect location, praising Newquay for its stunning scenery. "Our director loved the area when he saw it," she said." This was more popular than some others I've maybe you did see it! But it was booted from the theatres quickly. Roger Ebert was positively angry about the central decision of the characters in this film, which seemed to me to indicate he had almost no understanding of religious commitment. That's not to say I think everyone should have religious commitment...only that critics ought to understand it.
