Keep neat stacks of linens from toppling. Make wooden dividers with shelf brackets (long side a bit less than the height of shelf, short side equal to or less than depth). Drill two wood screws into each bracket from the shelf’s underside to secure.

Great tip!! on jan 1 put all your hangers in the closet backwards....when you wear something put it back the right way......6 months down the road, you can easily see what you haven't worn in 6 months (take to GoodWill)

If your current closet only has a typical single rod and single shelf you can see how much space gets wasted. With a little bit of wood and a few hours of time you can dramatically increase the space utilization of your closet. If you've been dealing with a small 3'-4' closet you know how important it is to squeeze as much extra storage as possible.

Use a normal coat rack to keep shoes off the floor. You also could use this in multiples in a closet instead of a shoe rack!

I would have never thought to do this with a small closet! It provides so much more storage space in that tiny amount of room!! BRILLIANT!
