English Country Style House Interiors | Auction Decorating: Chinoiserie is always chic!

The image on the left is one I published one month ago. It is the dining room of Anne Cox Chambers, Buckhead (Atlanta), as conceived by the architect Phillip Trammell Schutze in 1929 and published in Architectural Digest in 1992. As I noted at the time, the room is almost completely intact in its original form and, I expressed my opinion that it represented a textbook example of the power of brilliant, classic design to retain its freshness and allure literally for decades.
