Though now based in Baltimore, the duo formed in San Francisco and owe much of their start to the culture and creativity of the city. They opened the festival Friday night with a stunning, and rare, performance "marrying the conceptual tactics and noisy textures of object-based musique concrete to a rhythmic matrix rooted in electronic pop music," as described by their website.
