USPS  2009 -  USPS  paid tribute to the American comedian and actor Bob Hope (1903-2003) with the release of this  stamp on May 29, 2009 (he was born on May 29). Although not officially a part of the USPS Hollywood Legends stamp series, the stamp format is similar. Bob was truely a legend- not just for his comedy, TV specials, and films, but also for his humanitarian work, including his work with the U.S. Armed Forces (entertaining troops, USO shows).
