Texture Sorting For Kids

Gather your materials. You will need a large piece of paper ( a brown grocery bag cut open and laid flat would be awesome), some construction paper, materials with different textures ( I am using sandpaper, felt, foam and foil) , scissors and glue. Cut the different textures into small pieces and throw into a bowl. glue similar pieces together.

Learn through play with Sight Word Hopscotch (change to suit your learning needs - letters, numbers, vocabulary, colors, etc) I love this idea with summer coming up - it is a great way to incorporate reading/learning into warm weather fun!
