Recipe video above. This is a recipe for a real Malaysian restaurant quality laksa made by sprucing up store bought laksa paste! You can't just dump store bought laksa paste into coconut broth! The key is to freshen up the paste by sautéing it with garlic, ginger, chilli and lemongrass. Makes a world of difference! This makes 2 large bowls. Because large is the only way to go with Laksa!
Ingredients
Meat
• 2 Birds eye chillis
• 3 Chicken drumsticks
Produce
• 80 g Bean sprouts
• 1 Chilli, red
• 1 Coriander / cilantro, Fresh
• 1 Crispy fried shallots
• 2 1/2 Garlic clove
• 2 cm Ginger
• 1 Lemongrass
• 1 Lime
Canned Goods
• 2 cups Chicken stock / broth
• 1 400ml can Coconut milk
Condiments
• 2 tsp Fish sauce
• 1/2 cup Laksa spread
• 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
Pasta & Grains
• 100 g Hokkien noodles
• 50 g Vermicelli noodles, dried
Baking & Spices
• 1/2 tsp Sugar, white
Oils & Vinegars
• 2 1/2 tbsp Vegetable oil
Bread & Baked Goods
• 80 g Tofu puffs
Liquids
• 1 cup Water
Tools & Equipment
• 1 tbsp Chilli paste from jar

• 1 1/2 tsp Soy sauce (, light or all purpose)
