New sculpture at Bel Air library celebrates kids reading
Statue of a child enjoying a book on a bench is one of the focal points of the Roenna Fahrney Garden outside the Bel Air branch of the Harford County Public Library. The piece of art is called "Marley and Me," from The Randolph Rose Collection in Yonkers, N.Y., and cost the library system about $5,800.
"Christ the Redeemer" is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; considered the largest Art Deco statue in the world and the world's 5th largest statue of Jesus Christ. I was there...it was so sureal to be up that high and that close, so magnificent!
