Selle Français. France's most successful and popular warmblood sport horse. A newer breed, it has mainly thoroughbred, Arabian, and Anglo-Norman blood. It produces champions in international show jumping. Interestingly, France's Anglo-Norman horse disappeared in creating the Selle Français. Its bloodline was incorporated into the newer breed. There are no Anglo-Normans left.
Bavarian Warmbloods are made up of blood from other German warmbloods. There are a handful of Dutch Warmblood, Trakehner and Thoroughbred stallions as well, though the Bavarian studbook is rather unusual for including a Russian Warmblood and two Budyonny stallions.
