Theda Bara in Cleopatra directed by J.Gordon Edwards, 1917. Amazing, this movie was made almost 100 years ago! It was the most lavish production of its time. Sadly, there are no known complete negatives that have survived into the 21st century. It was considered extremely "risqué" because of Theda's costumes; after the Hays Code was enforced in Hollywood, it was all but banned. The last known prints appeared to have been destroyed in a fire, 1937.Only fragments survive.
