Church of England, St Mary the Virgin, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England. St Mary's is one of the largest of the Cotswold churches funded the medieval wool trade. It was mostly rebuilt in the 15th century and is a Grade I listed building. It has one of only three medieval hexagonal porches in England.

The Church of St.Peter & St.Paul, Northleach, Gloucestershire. Sometimes the church custodian lived in the upper storey and a window into the church would allow supervision of the main church interior. Some British churches have highly ornamented porches, both externally and internally. The south porch at Northleach, Gloucestershire, in the Cotswolds, built in 1480, is a well-known example.
