Here it is all finished. I added the rest of the grasses leaving the channels visible. This is a great place to bring the canoe, do a bit of fishing or just sit and watch the birds. It is one of my favourite spots.

As you see, I have started adding the grasses in different layers in the foreground. I still have to put some more dark values in there, but it is getting there. Taking my time is a lesson that is finally sinking in as normally I want to finish everything yesterday. I am enjoying the process and watching it grow.
This is stage one of my drawing of a view from Wally Tonkin's Landing. It is the same view I did the plein air painting of last week, only this has a lot more detail. This has a lot of grasses in the foreground so I will use the lessons learnt in the sand dunes drawing I did in my previous blog.
