The beautiful Sweetwater Creek State Park is home to the Manchester Ruins. This cotton mill was larger than any building in Atlanta in the mid 1800s. It was built entirely with local materials and was burned down in the Civil War. Today, the hauntingly beautiful ruins still stand for visitors to see.
